Haven for Hunger drive for Day of Service

Lynnfield Democrats will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., by taking part in the National Day of Service on January 18th, 2021.

We will be collecting food and goods for Citizens Inn / Haven from Hunger which serves our neighbors in need in Peabody, Salem and Lynnfield. Over one thousand households are helped each week during this extraordinarily difficult time.

Please help us if you can by dropping off food and grocery items, or a donation by check made out to Citizen’s Inn/Haven for Hunger to 11 Olde Towne Road, Lynnfield before January 17th, 2021.

Some of the things that are most urgently needed are:

  • peanut butter and jelly,

  • cooking oil,

  • foil,

  • pop-top canned goods,

  • inexpensive can openers, and

  • kid’s breakfast cereal.

Also helpful are some items that are less thought of such as:

  • coffee,

  • sugar,

  • cornbread mixes,

  • feminine hygiene products,

  • chicken stock and

  • other staples.

In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., let us come together in service to others.
